| In recent years, there has been an
increasing need for high added value in the automotive
industry, such as the pursuit of spatial comfort
and more compact body design. One example is the
increased need for more lightweight, rustproof and
space saving fuel tanks. Currently, particularly
in the West, fuel tanks are increasingly being made
of resin. High density polyethylene(HDPE) is being
used as the primary material in plastic fuel tanks(PFT).
However, with HDPE alone, it is not possible to
prevent the spread of the gasoline(a volatile organic
compound) from the tank to the outside air. The
use of "Soarnol®" with its high gasoline barrier
properties as a barrier material resolves this problem. |
